Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Birch Sap Face Wash and Proraso White
Razor: Cobra (on loan)
Blade: Schick Proline (#2)
Brush: Proraso Boar
Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime

Second shave with the Cobra, only two passes required today and very close finish. I did however manage a tiny nick and a weeper, both easily sorted with the Alum block rub and the cold water rinse. I am putting it down to over confidence after yesterdays shave was so good I think I may have added a tad too much pressure.

Thanks to @Digimonkey for chance to try this razor.

Sunday's shave :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, followed by Alpha - Grooming, Citrus & Neroli Shaving Oil
Razor - Supply-SE v2.0, classic plate (**).
Blade - Personna PTFE (Day 3).
Soap - OSP Menthol and Eucalyptus Soap.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic Badger.
Post shave - OSP Menthol and Eucalyptus Splash, followed by Bluebeards Revenge Post Shave Balm.

A very nice 2 pass shave, DFS + finish, with no problems.

I deliberately went for a disciplined 2 pass shave today, after some razor burn on my neck yesterday and the cold weather, I did not want to go greedy with a third pass in case this irrated my skin.

I also have grade A+++ man-flu, so going for the Menthol and Eucalyptus soap and splash, was a no brainer :)

Overall a great shave, it was good to give the Supply SE a run out, and the OSP soap and splash, as ever, did not dissapoint.

All the best,

Chris

LASSC BBS-1
Polsilver Super Iridium (8)
Guerlain Habit Rouge aftershave

My first impression of the BBS-1 is that it probably is just a little too aggressive for me, similar to the Weber Polished Head. But wow, is it ever efficient: I was very nearly BBS after just one pass of the blade.

Razor - ER Streamline (on loan)
blade - ER Corrux vintage (1)
brush - Semogue 1305
soap - Wickham Citrus Musk
post - witch hazel
a/s - Wickham Citrus Musk
balm - Aloe Vera gel
scent - Dior Eau Sauvage.

Result - pretty much everything a shave should be - and pretty much nothing a Sunday shave should be.

I was up most of the night listening to the Ashes - and predictably - was running late in cleaning up four day's growth before going out for lunch. Was this anytime to be using a new to me razor for the first time? What's the worst that can happen? I thought that I had got to grips with razors of this type, although not this particular model. So - no time for a mimsy - just get straight to it. Lather up, and with the first stroke I realised that this razor is a serious proposition - for something that small it's very heavy, I suspect it may be made out of plutonium. Perfectly balanced - very assertive - you could feel the blade on your face. Probably the loudest razor I have used - audible feedback is a good thing in my book. Total concentration required. I made myself slow down for fear of accidentally hacking my nose off - it's so efficient that two passes were all that were required. Gave myself a tiny graze under the nose on the upward pass but nothing cold water couldn't sort. In my - granted - limited experience of vintage single edges - I can see already why the Streamline enjoys its reputation - for me - more assertive than my MM OC and not that much below the Cobra. Getting away with rushing was helped no end by the slickness of the Wickham 1912 soap - for a non-tallow formulation it's pretty remarkable - I'd forgotten just how lovely the scent was in this version. Matching splash - a bit of balm - and some Sauvage to seal the deal. I really look forward to using this razor again - in a more relaxed way next time. Enjoy your shaves one and all - yours - I.

My very great thanks to K. @Boru62 for his generous offer to lend me this razor. I'm very grateful.

My first ever brush and I always reach for it when I'm feeling down lol.. I have the proraso version, I think omega made the loft 5 or 10mm shorter for proraso so not as floppy but I may be wrong.
