SOTD Saturday 25th November 2017 - Friday 1st December 2017

Not had a shave for a few days as needed to give face time to heal. Something has been irritating my skin terribly and I am not sure what yet so was causing lots of breakouts.

Tesco own brand face scrub
Edwin Jagger DE89
The Personal Barber synthetic brush
Palmolive Shave Cream
Fine Snakebite Aftershave
Bluebeards Revenge Aftershave Balm.

Just a two pass today with and across the grain. No weepers or irritation as yet. Think the issue might have been the Bluebeard's Revenge Pre-Shave oil.

Prep ~ Shower, Birch tar soap
Razor ~ Fatip Grande ( on loan from @Shave to the grave )
Blade ~ Gillette Platinum nos, #3
Soap ~ LEA Tallow formula
Brush ~ Semouge 2000 boar
Scuttle ~ Giles shaving Co
Post ~ BBA PSB
Scent ~ Guerlian Jicky EDT

The Fatip is a very good razor and if I was in the market for another DE razor I wouldn't have to think too hard about it! :)
Paired with the nos Gillette Platinium blade and the fab LEA soap a great shave was had, finnishing with the BBA PSB.
A light body spray of Jicky was the icing on the cake! Perfect! :)

Wishing you all a fruitful Cyber Monday........:)

Monday's shave :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, followed by Alpha - Grooming, Citrus and Neroli Shaving Oil
Razor - Supply-SE v2.0, classic plate (**).
Blade - Personna PTFE (Day 4).
Soap - Bluebeards Revenge Shave Cream.
Bowl - Little Wren.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic Badger.
Post shave - OSP Menthol and Eucalyptus Splash, followed by Bluebeards Revenge Post Shave Balm.

A very nice 3 pass shave today, no issues to report. For some reason it took ages for me to get a decent lather with the Bluebeard's shave cream.

All the best,

Chris

Omega 11126 boar
Vitos Super Red croap
ER 1912 [ Bathroom Set ]
Gem S/S [ 2 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion

After yesterdays great Shave with a "Streamline", there is a lot less stubble than usual to deal with after 24 hours. So it was going to be a hard act to follow.

Picked today one of the later 1912s [ circa 1951] as they seem less harsh than the early ones, I think the head was designed to take the modern blades. I had to be careful to adopt a very light touch/no pressure technique during the Shave, and have been rewarded by a smooth comfortable Shave with a good close all round finish. Get it right and the 1912s provide a great Shaving experience for very little outlay.I have to smile when I remember my first efforts using a Vintage SE, far too heavy handed by far so suffered irritation and nicks galore- now touch wood, no bloodshed unless I get careless.

I think il just give up on sandalwood the scents just not for me iv tried a lot of them now and the only one I sort of liked was the d r harris one , apart from the scent of the soap todays shave was great everything worked perfect ....

Australian Private Reserve Coeur De Vert Soap
Antica Barbieria Colla Boar
MÜHLE Rocca R95 - Nacet
Australian Private Reserve Coeur De Vert Splash
Australian Private Reserve Coeur De Vert EdP

I didn't see eye to eye with the APR Coeur De Vert when I smelled it from the tub/bottle, don't judge a book by it's cover is very apt here, in use it's sublime. To think I nearly sold this on, really glad I didn't.
The MÜHLE Rocca R95, used a Nacet, enough blade feel to know it's there, very smooth, manouverable and capable shaver, very happy with the purchase.

Blade: Gem SS #1
Razor: ER Streamline
Brush: Maseto 30mm Finest
Soap: P&B Albion
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
EDT: L'Occitane Cade

A wonderful 3 pass trouble free BBS Shave after two days growth.
The efficiency of the razor is amazing.

The soap worked up a magical thick, slick and protective lather leaving a great post shave feel using the highly credited Maseto 30mm 2 band.
A face full of soft badger with excellent backbone.

Finished with the Witch Hazel and a generous splash of Cade.

Enjoy your shaves! :)

That's a mirror image of my Bathroom Set, Mike...even down to the Corrux blades.

Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: Omega 11137 Boar
Soap: PAA Solstice
Razor: ATT S2 (on loan from@Blackmass)
Blade: Gillette Platinum Plus vintage
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, L'Oréal PSB

Third shave with the S2, stuck in one of my favourite blades and had my best shave with it so far.
It's incredibly smooth but not as efficient as the R2, a pleasure to shave with and no irritation on the chin nor upper lip today.
