Soap & Aftershave RazoRock Mudder Focker
Brush Yaqi 24mm Robin Clear Handle
Razor GEM Clog Pruf
Blade GEM PTFE 5th
A wonderful soap for the creamy & slick lather but the scent...together with the matching splash is the main attraction for me. A very early shave...have to travel for overnight on-location work. Unable to use a straight so use this razor that I have missed for a few months...Wow...forgotten how good it was. Effortless, crisply smooth, efficient. 3passes for a bbs finish...

Blade: Sunny Supreme Stainless. (D1)

Any good?

... erm, that's the Gillette Guard (pictured), no?

Back to the blades. There's something about the graphics and the wrap that despite the colouring VERY much puts me in mind of the Ninja Stainless blades which were made by SuperMax. These are from a different company, nevertheless. There is a look and feel thing going on and I'm tuning into it now - the Black Deer immediately has me picturing the SuperMax Diamond Edge and the Super Mac, of course, is the Vidyut/SuperMax Stainless (red/burgundy packaging); Bosco? SuperMax Super Stainless (green/yellow packaging).

Again, any good?
Where did you source them?

MDC original
Yaqui Sagrada
Gillette super speed/Gillette 7 o'clock permasharp stainless
Witch Hazel
Extrocosmesi Arzachena AS/EDT

I am so happy with the MDC. The first pass it's a very voluminous lather, the second thinner but very "adhesive" and the third thin enough for the ATG. Of course with only 10-15 swirls to charge the brush.
The Extrocosmesi Arzachena has a very pleasant floral/herbal scent but is not really an aftershave, I think it has a better use as eau de toilette for my 15-years-old daughter who is consuming it rapidly...

I'm fairly sure he got them from eBay. They could be a Supermax blade but over the last year or so there are a glut of new blades from India, a few are from the Vertice factory (who make the Euromax and Gillette Winner Stainless), but a lot of of them are tricky to identify as details on the packaging seem to be thin on the ground.

A lot of the new makes seem to only be sold by the 100, but I recall there was a sampler of a number of new brands on eBay somewhere.

The market for DE blades in the subcontinent right now is huge and will only get bigger, I expect more new blades will start drifting into the market with time.

Hmmm, Not too sure about this Knot, it could be too soft for me:cry:, hopefully it will gel at the tips to reduce the splay. Today i tried a 10mm tip dip, shake and load without a soak which was OK, The Knot is a nice enough face painter although it does splay too easily for my liking. Pity as i love the handle. I will see if i can come to like it more before i decide what to do:unsure:.
The shave itself was spot on, today the Stainless fitted with the Brass baseplate. Smooth and very comfortable.
Onwards and upwards.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Yesterday and today - and probably some to come. I can't get over how much this soap works for me. Even followed by an alcohol-based splash alone - I get none of the drying problems you see reported. I was late to the Arko party - wish I had tried it years ago. If you are good with non-vegetarian formulae try it and see what you think - it's a small investment. Cheers all - I.

Hello there,
I bought them purely going by the successful results that I have with the other vast amount of subcontinent blades that I have in my DE blade collection. The fresh Sunny Superior stainless blade I used it this morning in my Parker 94R performed for me near as well as the Gillette 365 blade that I used in my previous shaves...As for the longevity, regardless if I can get more from a blade, because i have such a vast amount I only use them for two shaves then it's binned. A luxury that I can afford...

I bought them from ebay last year https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233919594863?hash=item3676b1c16f:g:nMsAAOSw91NgQYgQ&amdata=enc:AQAHAAAA8Aqb+FMB00oik/LjifFR3ffBt5Gh3uSCxVHsJsbsl6+KUnmkC2wI6hSiL5tRMoHIP5lOMcRsEE59NDAc6OzV5yk6ncRm/FUws1G7/kdrttQta+ktAiOAwv6yu33f6NfWCy5nsIcYx9U8OBZmQGhpZR6+dzZgoTZWR1M4AvZTZKbxW00I6A2D4GJdLFVB4BLdqL9PYa1dHu8h5DKjVLmXRAfKyjkkx9dUGzdvct9oiwRIJeRGrr65rELHedlF3tsBzbW0TbsfMH0qSEf7O61T9oIGpRYG/2ZaCKXHyvExQZrTddsQWpL6oroWAAA7RkEFXQ==|tkp:Bk9SR7S77PilYQ since then the cost of them has doubled in price.

Hope this helps. Yours-Barry.

PS: If you are curious to try them, message me your details and I will send you a few tucks.

The Arko Man loves you Iain, just like he loves all of his children.

With his face full of bountiful lather, he looks upon his children with love and joy of their DFS that will be with them shortly.

PS the Derby stick is excellent as well, IMO a touch slicker and less strongly scented, but a touch harder so less easy to load.
