I haven't tried either but given the good reviews and sales on here Maseto brushes are a virtual cert for Best New Brush, if not Best New Product overall, but I reckon BBA's Post Shave might have something to say about that:)
 
Shave lounge have exceptional customer service, they ordered me an SV brush they didn't stock weeks in advance of when I wished to purchased and reserved it until I was ready to pay, by doing this they also saved me a fair bit of money on the cost of the brush and the shipping and sent it next day delivery with no extra charge..I don't think you can ask for more than that. When it comes to blades if you are bulk buying I don't think you can beat Connaught on price tho !
 
I'm just shy of a year in to traditional shaving so it's all new to me. I must say that compared to online retailers of other types of goods, I have had very good service from all the shaving suppliers. I think that we as a community are well served. I will have to think long and hard about best products. But my one dissapointment would have to be P&B soaps.
 
That is exactly the reason for the "awards",.....it highlights the great service we get from our suppliers and those that make the products.
I would place great store by being voted or even nominated "Best of",..by knowledgeable voters who have earned their right to vote by spending their hard-earned to use their various products, as opposed to some easily-influenced journo, reviewing them based on advertising revenue and/or corporate inducements.
If I was competing in the marketplace, I'd certainly like to label my product or service,.."Voted Best of....,.... in The Shaving Room 2017 Awards".

I'm with you there Barry, I have also received very good service from all the shaving goods suppliers so would be hard pressed to pick just one. Best products is also going to be difficult because I seem to have chosen well and have not been dissapointed :) P .
 
OK What do you all prefer, an ongoing Discussion thread or would you prefer to PM me, and in conjunction with nick or admin, to collate your nominations/votes in secret for a New Year's Day, "reveal"...
Just kickin' it around because we only have about 6weeks or so left,....
 
OK,...How 'bout this for an inaugural voting template:
Two columns,...
Best New ('whatever')......Overall Favourite( same category)
Repeat as necessary for however many categories we need.
This should give a winner in each category plus an all time favourite product/service.
Suggestions for categories?....Fire away!!!

Good start, but the "new to you", in my opinion would muddy the waters between new in the calendar year.
For instance, your recommendation of Lodz Polsilver blades would be best best served in the "Overall Favourite", section.
Whaddya think?.....

Yep John, agree with those,other than to separate soaps and creams as some only use one or the other.
