Been after one of these US Aristocrats at the right price for quite a while! Also got myself a Gillette shaving case for an unknown model(s). Should be handy to keep surplus razors in!

Hang on! I bought a what, now? An Ever-Ready, or a GEM? It's a GEM Push Button, that's for sure ... but it says "Ever Ready" on the baseplate. What happen?

Complete newbie to this, so here's a pic of the kit I'm starting out with. Mostly bought from Shaving Station and Connaught for my blades. My razor is a Merkur 34C. Just had my first shave today. Good fun and no cuts. A little bit of razor bump rash but I'm sticking with it. Felt good.

that is a bloody decent starter kit there sir! keep at it and enjoy yourself =)

Use a hole punch if you need to modify a modern DE blade to suit. It looks a cracking razor ... shame not to try it for lack of suitable blades. Mod 'em!

That's my plan. This razor is too nice not to use.

Received this exquisite Dubarry Shaving Soap Bowl, which dates from the late 1930's / early 1940's (British Registered Design No. 817400). Classic Art Deco inspiration, it's in absolutely fantastic condition...

A quite snazzy Henckels DE Travel razor - with mirror and 5 original Zwillingwerks blades. Its a conventional safety bar four piece travel razor but the set is in pristine condition - I may use the head (these are strong cutting razors - on the aggressive side but very efficient) on a longer heavier handle in rotation.
