Following some advice from @Rohleder I have opened some of the packs to check for rust, seems others bought from the same eBay seller and some blades are rusty. So far I have opened 3 packs, 2 seem fine but 1 pack has rust but just on the first blade. At £25 for the 250 it seemed worth the risk, fingers crossed there are not too many more rusty blades.

Out of my 60, 44 appear usable. As you say, for the price charged its still not too bad.

Ok, I opened 5 more packs, 2 had 1 rusty blade and 3 had 2 rusty blades. Still not a bad result.

That's not too bad, hopefully the seller will give you a partial refund. Have you tried shaving with one yet?

Noy tried one yet, but I will. To be fair to the seller on eBay they made no claims as to the condition and the outer packing all looks in good condition.

Just "won" this lovely Aristocrat on EBay.
I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I had one of these and sold it to @bagman to fund a new straight razor a few weeks ago.
None of the other razors I've sold have been missed. Apart from this one...
Hoping the rough look on the doors is just soap build up and it cleans up shiny and new - the handle looks in good nick.
Anyhoo, I'm a happy bunny at this point
