Ingredients: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Coconut Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Parfum, Sodium Silicate, Sodium Hydroxide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Borate, Sodium PCA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Potassium Chloride, Methylparaben, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hydroxy-Methylpentyl-Cyclohexenecarboxaldehyde (!), Linalool, Limonene.

So, full of natural goodness, then :?

The front of the box highlights the fact that the cream contains Vitamin E and that it's 'Extra Moisturizing'. And according to the blurb on't box:

" The natural moisturizing ingredient PCA-Na and vitamin E in formulation, moisturize and soften the beard"

It's inexpensive. It's from Turkey. And it's one of the best creams I've used so far.

It wouldn't surprise me if a tube of this stuff was doled out to every inmate at a Turkish gaol. But apart from the lovely lubrication, Arko Regular also provides excellent cushion and leaves the skin (well, mine, anyway) in superb condition -- the three times I've used it, I've not bothered to follow up with a moisturising aftershave.

Very easy to create a quality, lasting lather with this cream too. The scent ain't so bad, either (reminiscent of a weak Paco Rabanne Pour Homme to my sniffer: clean, soapy, pleasant).

£2.45 from Connaught. And I think it performs as well as my £18-something Castle Forbes.

Roll on the day when the Turks take a fancy to the Isle of Man. I'm sure regular supplies of Arko cream to UK high streets could be factored into a fudged UN peace agreement. We get to keep Vulfix, though.

Oh right, I didn't know Connaught was seling arko ?? Must have missed it on his website.

Excellent. Can't wait to try it.

I think the Arko is a great budget cream. According to this page at Connaught they will be selling off remaining stock and not replacing it. I know that the Arko stick has been out of stock for a while. This makes anything made by Arko hard to find in the UK, anyone know where else it can be found?

Interesting site. As well as the Arko stuff they have Feather blades and Omega brushes.

cheers

it's not bad stuff is the Arko cream

the aftershave cream is very good as well

just bare in mind that as with all Arko products the scents can be a little artificial

Just tried the cool version. Not bad - gives a nice lather, didn't notice any artifical smell. Its not that mentholly though, just a bit of a hint, does give the skin a bit of a tingle but nothing like Proraso cream!

I guess menthol is a bit like chilli, one persons hot is another persons mild. Still not a bad cream, especially if you can get 12 for 9.99.

Regarding my early post regarding KazemHair, I phoned them up today and was informed orders under £60 the postage is £6.99 and over £60 its FREE  , I think I'm going to place an order come payday :D .

Sounds good. I noticed 100 feather blades for £10.99 on that link.

This was one of the first creams I bought, it is very good. I recently bought a stick and I fnd that even better. The good thing about the creams is that they do come on different flavours, none of them are sophisticated scents but all tolerable because they do gove a good shave.
