After a recommendation for a cologne, currently big into lavender, using le pere lucien soap and a/s. Looking for a cologne to compliment.

Modern (authorised) remake of Yardley Black Label? Lavender's the middle note but there's some other nice stuff in there - patchouli and oak moss. I've just done a BIN. It could be 5h!te - at £7.90 I'll use it as glass cleaner:

Funnily enough Ive been thinking about trying this but not sure of the dry down - its not too sweet vanilla is it?

Vanilla is not too sweet, the Caron smells initially like play -Doh !

Oxford and Cambridge is excellent but I wouldn't call it herby.
Floris Lavender is also really good and a bit darker than O&C with excellent staying power
