Brings back memories, right Mick?

But that's life - goes by like a split second (or almost like that anyway)...

Don't know if I have mine, perhaps my mother has kept it somewhere I guess.

Konstantinos, if that tatty old thing was lost or binned by my parents, would it be the end of the world? no, of course not. but it would mean the loss of a link to another time. And it is for this same reason i believe that my parents will always keep it. Sentimental tosh? probably, but it's my tosh :D

How come this poll doesn't have a 'Never had a teddy' option? Or is that too unthinkable??
Not at all - the poll was simply addressed to those who did have an ursine experience when young.
Those who had other soft toys are most welcome to leave a comment :D
(But they can't vote!)

I cant vote but i have two large boxes of teedies in the loft at my parents house.. i couldnt bear to think of them ending up in landfill
Oh? - sounds like an option 3 to me.
The most obvious alternative to landfill is any Doctors, Dentists or local clinic or Paediatric ward - failing that there is always the charity shop.

I'm guessing you're not a hoarder SP?
Not as such.
I do have a dozen or so teddies, but they were given to me by friends and were I to dispose of them I would mortally offend the donors - most of whom I see quite regularly.

My sister still has her teddy from her childhood; it is quite hard and solid, not very cuddly. It is a koala bear; does that count as a teddy bear? It has real fur too - no idea whether it is koala fur. Not very PC, but we're talking early '60s.

This is my wee guy.

He is an Eggbert Jr made by Applause which if I remember correctly was given to me by my godparents.

I've always called him Eggbert. The blades were already there
