What ever happened to the Gillette's yank and shank "hysterisis" effect?

Presumably they finally realised that the lack of comfort in the shave was so noticeable to the user that they had to do something, or rather, been seen to be doing something, about it.

Stick with the soap and brush, forget the DE. Preparation is the key to a good shave. The multi-blade razors are light years ahead.
