Here is the little beast. Mad as a box of frogs!

Enjoy it! Would love some interior pics if you feel like it.
Cheers

Funny you should say that......

Tall_Paul, shame you don't fit. The interiors are pretty nice.

Mine's pretty stock inside, other than the upgrade to leather. Couldn't do cloth, especially with the little 'un and the crumbs / mud etc that come with her!

A beauty indeed.
Had a punto gt (1.4 lt 136hp) back in 1999 with an abarth exterior body kit and loved it. I bet this 500 will be even more fun living with it. Drive safe.
Cheers !

It does improve your knowledge of auto mechanics. Learned to do things that most people had forgotten in the 1950's.
double clutching; fixing vapor locks; The value of Al foil and old plastic Clorox bottles. It was a strange trip while it lasted.
Fix it again Tony (FIAT).

At least you still had a clutch. My daughters clutch started to get stiff, she didn't realise until she pushed the clutch pedal so hard she broke the pedal box in her cinquicento. I thought it was Fix It Again Tomorrow.

The modern FIATs do seem a lot more reliable.

Nice car, what's the engine? does this one have a Turbo? I had few old fiats (131, Tipo, Tempra) not the best quality but ok. Back at home a Fiat specialist had a 131 Abarth lookalike and Uno Turbo, they were great cars and very fast and great fun to drive.

Yeah,

Had this orange 500 Sport (hence my user name) for four fun filled years. It was great, which is why we upgraded to the Abarth.

It's a 1.4 twin cam 16V version of the FIRE engine with fuel injection, a turbo charger and twin intercoolers.

It's pretty quick (0-60 in 7.8 I think) which feels ballistic in a small car. The Sport mode actually does make a marked difference when engaged, weighting up the steering, adding more torque and sharpening the throttle response.

Price wise it's on par with a Mini Cooper, which it'll laugh at in terms of performance, equipment and interior space. And it really grumbles and barks. Very grumpy!

Love it!
