Plisson L'Occitane

I've read quite a few reviews for this brush and watched many videos and not many people have a bad word to say about it.

I'm thinking of picking it up on the weekend, please let me know if you know of any other brushes that are as soft or close but may lather slightly better?

My reason for getting a synthetic brush is a) you don't have to pre-soak and 2) they dry within minutes. Both these traits may not seem like a big deal but I travel quite a lot so would be perfect for me.

Thanks!

I love mine and use it more than my SOC Boar these days.
I was lucky enough to pick one up when they were selling them off for $30.

As far as I know they are now discontinued at L'Occitane unless you go to a physical store and see if they have any left over inventory.
I think I saw a couple at my local store a week or so ago still sold at $30. Maybe I should go back and get a back-up brush...

I've seen them spoken of but whenever I've looked for one I seem to see that they've been discontinued and the L'Occitane website never shows one. So are we talking about second hand only here? If so is it the usual Ebay or sites like this one where you look?
Miles told me yesterday how wonderful the Plisson is and again I looked but couldn't see them so simply went for the two Jaggers: the 23 and the 25mm. They should be here tomorrow (Thursday). If they are available then I'll be pleased to get in the queue.

What, actually is it? A wooden handle, a plastic handle..21mm, 23mm, 26 mm? Was I right in thinking I saw a travel version, maybe on the Occitane site, perhaps in the US? What shop do you mean, Paul?

10 months ago this was posted: http://tsevangelist.tumblr.com/post/92441701721/news-on-the-availability-of-the-plisson-synthetic

So I for one am confused. I think I'll put it out of my mind and content myself with the Jaggers

From the text describing the brush:

This brush has the characteristics of the best Badgers: Nervousness, softness and emulsifying power.

Wasn't there a thread where someone said the L'Occitane knot was the same as the Body Shop one?

Was it ever confirmed?

Was it this one?

No, this one.

Re reading it, it appears they are not the same.

I've got a white one on the way (I hope). The Plisson website has lots of synthetics in a range of handles. They all seem to be their Size 12, and the price determinant there is the handle. The knots appear to be all the same.

As a purely personal thing, going back long ago to slimy and split handles, I've never really liked wooden handles. As I understand it, the L'Occitane Plisson is a wooden handle, which is why I've not fallen for buying one.
