No, it was just advertised a 'gold razor' if I remember rightly, which is why it went under the radar. I sold it on at a profit, but someone still got quite a good deal - you don't see many gold paperclips. That said my main reason for getting rid was that I didn't like the extra effort I had to put in shaving with it.

Mick, that was a rare model indeed and worth mucho dinero being the rarer gold plated version.

its what you have. I have a feeling that if you had a good condition American superspeed youd change your mind.

I had both (flare tip and red tip superspeed), and I still think the Rocket HD is the better razor.

I sold the superspeeds, and kept the Rocket.

I think in fact the silly season might be upon us. There's a cased English TV special already very close to that price with 6 days still remaining on the auction.

Now at, wait for it, £136 with 2 days to go on the auction

Makes me think I will be able to retire if I sell my NOS one with instructions and original blades

On U.S. Ebay a rare 'Blue Tip' Rocket just sold for a tad under $68 + shipping from Canada. Too rich for my blood, but for a serious collector I imagine it was worth it as they are rarer than hen's teeth.

The price that was quoted was actually approx. $68 U.S. dollars + $15 shipping = $83 U.S. dollars = £57.52 or 72.78 Euros.
