Argan oil as face wash seems to be working well: two drops rubbed in with the fingertips and rinsed off well.

We opened a bottle of wine when we came back from a meal out last night - feeling a bit sluggish this morning to say the least.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Tesco own brand(1)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: La Toja
Aftershave: L.T. Piver Heliotrope Blanc homemade splash
Cologne: L.T. Piver Heliotrope Blanc
 
After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

BSB in HMW (the real purty Good Doctor creation)
Schick F type/Gillette Platinum Plus (NOS 1970)
RL Safari SS
Neutrogena oil free moisture sensitive skin
RL 'Safari' EdT (vintage juice)

This is my favorite injector blade when it comes to whacking whiskers most effectively with best comfort. Extremely sharp yet somewhat forgiving that leaves my face smoother than usual. Needs a little more attention to detail during the shave but no problem at all.

The brush makes lathering any soap or cream a snap....amazing what a great knot can do. This soap is so easy anyway that the soap/brush combo makes achieving excellent lather a certainty. The Safari smells good too.

Fantastic relaxing afternoon shave. WTG/XTG passes with big Joe, ATG pass with the Schick. Easy BBS.

It's the weekend so that means shavette time. I've been experimenting with blades so far with the shavette, and come to realise that the sharper the blade, the better the shave as long as I am careful. So, with that in mind, I loaded The Raptor with a Feather. Prepared with a hot towel and scrub, and mixed up a lovely 1805 cream lather. First pass was taken with a level of caution, and one nick on the top lip. XTG pass was taken with the same caution and short strokes, as was the ATG pass. All in all, I got 2 nicks and a couple of weepers, something I am not surprised about. That said, the shave was the best I've had with a shavette, and I suspect this is to do with the blade in the most part. Even the trouble area (Adams apple) was shaved closer, and there was an element of BBS to some areas of the boat race.

Result? 4/5. A great close shave with a Feather in the shavette.
