Warm shower
Hot towel
MWF bowl lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette NEW LC, Windsor set (1930) Made in England
Gillette Nacet Stainless (1)
Cold rinse
Thayers Superhazel
Old Spice Sensitive aftershave
Nice photo.

Another Menthol May shave:

Homemade menthol pre-oil
Erasmic (bowl), bowl lathered and added menthol glycerine
Bodyshop Synthetic
Gillette Fatboy #7
Rapira Swede #1
Alum rub
Cold rinse
Alcolado/Witch Hazel 3:1 mix
Lacura moisturiser.

Wow, that was cold and refreshing.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: SM Novella pre-shave cream
Soap: NSS - Down Home Summer
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo 23mm silvertip synthetic
Razor: ATT R1 Kronos
Blade: Feather (3)
After: Myrsol Plastic AS, T&H No.10 ASB

I thought this was my very last use of this NSS soap as it's clean empty but after washing out my lather bowl I found some soap stuck to the bottom of the bowl and I think it's enough for another shave's worth - yay.
What a great this soap this is. It's one of my favourites for both performance and scent. I've still got a few more NSSs to finish off before I start buying up some more.
Not usually fond of a feather blade but hey-ho-give-it-a-go and found it has worked pretty well for the last 3 shaves. It's still not in my favourites but not too bad, just face feels a bit sore soon after shaving.

Have great long BH weekend folks.

Got my Personal Barber starter box today so had a very different shave:

Hot shower
PB Synthetic brush
Twaburds Tea Tree and Mint soap
PB stainless razor
Rapira Swedish Supersteel (1)
BOOBS
Nivea sensitive ASB

A surprisingly good shave with new equipment. At first use the brush was good enough. The soap worked better than I expected. The razor itself seems like a keeper, particularly as a milder alternative to the more aggressive razors I use that work better on two to three days growth.

Friday

Evening, everyone.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond (7)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave cream: Gillette red tube
Aftershave: Ice Dive
Cologne: Czech & Speake Citrus Paradisi

Finished the week with my Thiers-Issard No 17 - and the Gillette Blue tip for clean up.
It went really well and am enjoying this so much that I might try to dedicate one day/week for straight razor shaving at the same time as I work my way through my DE/SE backlog.

Razor: Thiers-Issard No 17
Razor II: Gillette Blue Tip w/ a 7 O'Clock blade
Brush: SOC Boar
Soap: Klar Kabinnet
Pre-Shave: Myrsol Emulsion
A/S: Myrsol Agua Balsamica and Emulsion

Brush: WD Synthetic 24mm
Blade: Wilkinson Sword circa 1989
ASL: ALPA Classique (Bergamot)

Soap is lathering in a similar way to current days Palmolive ie perfect, the box say Mug soap but the on the soap it said Cup soap ?!

Picked the Colgate up on small swap some time ago.

Second shave with the new hardware that arrived yesterday.

Hot face wash
Trench's Bay Rum soap
Personal Barber synthetic brush
