Good Morning folks, todays line up was:

Prep: hot wash with Pears soap.
Soap: Arko.
Brush: Vie-Long Horse/Badger hybrid.
Razor: RazoRock Jaws.
Blade: Gillette Platinum. #1
Post: Malizia Uomo Veyver balm.

I have mild arthritis in my right wrist ans sometimes it makes things interesting when shaving, on days like today I avoid straights.

I whipped out my Razorock Jaws OC, rumaged through the blades I have been gifted over the last few months and pulled out a Gillette Platinum, no idea what this is as the only markings are Gillette Platinum and the numbers 1, 2 on one side and 3, 4 on the other.. anyway, into the jaws went this gillette tooth and an arko lather whipped up and applied. Nice 3 pass shave WTG, XTG & ATG resulted in nice smooth skin and 1 nick (always in the same place and always on the ATG pass) finished with the awesome smelling Malizia Uomo Vetyver Balm.

Three Pass - WTG, WTG (Slide) & WTG ... for fun!

Oh, boy! Dr Selby is the Veg of soaps! I'll refer to it as "the Doc" from now on. Triple concentrated, this cream is a firm soap. Triple concentrated in scent, too, I would say! Massive lavender, almost musty and powdery like mothballs than any floral, herby or green. It's the Veg of soaps, alright!

Super shave with the Comfort. I recall having to be very light with this razor as the blade edge is very exposed and it can bite without warning. My usual couple of with the grain passes went so well, I lathered up again post-shave as I do ... and thought, "Why not? Another pass." ... and so enjoyed a further pass just for fun.

Washed off, post-shave feel is really excellent and on a par with my favourite soap, Mitchell's Wool Fat, and a post-shave feel which only got better with a good splash of the Veg.

Got a couple of parcels yesterday, so thought I'd try out a few new things.

That combo generated a really good lather, plenty left after 3 passes. Despite looking like a toy from a Christmas cracker, I got a very close, comfortable shave from the Yuma. I do like stuff that's very cheap but does what it should.

Got this soap and razor ages ago, but were wrapped until my birthday.
The first outing for both was really good with a nice smooth shave.
