Took a chance on a tiny shaving soap stick found in Poundland. Unwrapped, it looks like Palmolive but is as hard as plastic. Lathers like plastic, too! In the bin now.

BBS results, mild heat.

Poundland is missing a trick selling this soap for 100% more than Palmolive.

Greetings

Monday 22nd December 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Professional
Brush: Semogue 620 Boar
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: Tom Ford Extreme

A surprise this morning after three shaves with the Feather proguard blade I set it aside and changed to the Professional.

I noticed absolutely no difference at all, I was apprehensive that this blade would 'skin me', not so. Looking at it logically as UK Rob mentioned a few days ago these blades were all designed to be used with the Artist Club shavettes, safety razors utilising them came along later. In the Artist Club the Guarded blade would be of great help to a novice user; in the Cobra with a safety bar this tends to negate the purpose of the little guards on the blade and thus (at least to me) both blades feel the same on my face.

In any event another ultra close shave with no weepers or soreness if anything I would say a little less near my comfort boundary then the shaves with the guarded blades......... strange.

The Feather Pro Guard blade still feels like new I suspect three shaves from one of these blades is like a three litre diesel engined car with five thousand miles on the clock, barely run in.

Regards
Dick.

A nice result from 2 pass shave with Kropp and Touch up with DE. Palmolive produced oodles of lather but I dont think my kropp likes it much.

I really like the handle of my Globalneedz razor, especially its dimensions. It matches just right with my SE razors.
I didn't think much of the head though. Seems like yours ok, how does it compare to other DE razors?
Yeah I bought it for the handle and not disappointed. The head is good although I had a different handled global needs razor which had a dodgy head. They sent me a replacement head free of charge after I sent them a photo of the issue

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Xpec original
Brush: 22mm HMW custom birthday coin brush
Razor: Mongoose Satin w/Dr. Bomber handle

Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Village Barber balm
Last day with this blade. I knew I should have changed it this morning. Got a few weepers for my trouble.
First day with the Xpec though. Got a sample from a kind fellow (thanks Jon) and wow the scent is different.
