23 December 2014 Planned Shave

The Gillette 195 / Big Ben Combo at Setting 3 worked well so I will do a brush and soap switch from the last shave. I will stick with the Menthol theme for tomorrow.

Need to shave every day this week for a change.

Face scrub with MWF
Palmolive stick rubbed on my face
Bodyshop synthetic brush
Gillette Rocket HD
Feather (2)
Cien ASB

Just a WTG and ATG gave me a very satisfactory shave. How good a performer is the Palmolive stick! I should grate it up with my Eucris to get aroma and performance.

Hot shower plus Noxzema prep.

Brush:Omega 49
Soap: Palmolive stick applied to mug.

Razor: Gillette New service set mounted on a Timor SS long handle.

Blade: Gillette Platinum (8)

AS: Old Spice original (Indian).

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Noxzema cream
Soap: Tabac
Bowl: Woodhead Tall Large Scuttle
Brush: Vulfix 404 badger/boar
Razor: 1912 Damaskeene + templ8 5cm handle
Blade: Gem (3)
After: Brut AS, Tabac ASB

First use with this tiny handle on a 1912 SE razor. I'm not sure it's a good combination. Although the short handle makes it agile to use it's tricky to get the correct angle. With this particular razor, if you get just the right angle it gives a lovely smooth shave; wrong angle and it's not so close. Result was not too close all over, so it's better with a longer and steadier handle to concentrate on the angle. I'll return to the Globalneedz handle tomorrow.

Ouuuw Tabac! Soap of the gods. Enjoy your day folks.

Face lathered for the first time in... a long time. Dead easy with Nanny's original as it doesn't need much water. The Executive Shaving balm is very good - goes on very thick and at first it feels like it will not absorb and leave the skin greasy but with 20 seconds or so it's absorbed and has been very good for my skin. As usual the Weber and Chubby 2 were perfect and the Rapira very smooth.
