Prior to the days Shave, compared the blade angle in the OC [ without bumps ] to that of the CP [ with bumps ], and there
was more blade angle on the CP.
Well Lathered the Shave went very well, bring smoother and more forgiving than the OC, which to me felt slightly harsh yesterday. On balance I felt that I not only got a Smoother shave but also a closer one. Now having got rid of OC with thr

No photo today but I did add a new element to my routine...

  1. Usual pre-wash with Glyce soap
  2. Myrsol Emulsion pre-shave cream
  3. Tabac shaving soap applied with Razorock Plissoft
  4. Braveheart/EJ89 hybrid + Voskhod (3)
  5. Post-shave wash with Wright's coal tar soap (the new element)
  6. Cold water rinse
  7. Alum rub
  8. Cold water rinse
  9. Floid Amber splash
  10. GFT Lime Skin Food balm

Why add the coal tar wash? Well it has a natural antiseptic effect - it's used in hospitals and often prescribed by GPs for loads of different skin conditions. I use it as a standard face wash if i've been out and about during the day, and often last thing at night - it's bloody marvellous stuff. Some people are a little put off by the scent - it's quite clinical, but it weakens very quickly. I'm experimenting with it a little during the shave routine...tomorrow I'm going to use it after the alum.
