Wednesday

Evening, everyone.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Treet Durasharp (5)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave cream: Erasmic
Aftershave: Yellow Ginger
Cologne: Azzaro pour Homme

Bay Rum & Eucalyptus PSO
Palmolive stick
Simpsons Best Badger
Muhle R41/templ8 handle
Gillette Super Thin (1)
Alum, witch hazel
Freshwood A/S

Handle arrived today. It made a huge difference to the balance of the razor. Gave a cracking shave.

Razor - Louis French SE
Blade - GEM
Soap - Wickham SS Imperial Tonic
Brush - Simpsons Wee Scot Badger
EDC - No. 4711

Bit of a French theme tonight as I was trying out the French SE razor using the GEM blade in place of the proprietary wedge blade. The shave was extremely close, so much so that I nicked myself twice but that said I don't feel much irritation, so it's not as aggressive as I thought it might be.

Though not French I have not worn the 4711 for sometime and it makes for a pleasant change.

Enjoy your evening/day Gents! :D

Razor: ATT R1 + templ8 handle
First time using my new handle from templ8. The idea for this handle was to have ridges to provide grip and to remind me to not grip the handle too hard. Certainly feels different in the hand and my pinky slips nicely under the bottom of the handle to prevent slipping down.
It did however provide an excellent shave but that's not surprising using my best products.

Have a good one.

Nice handle. Good idea using the ridges to stop you gripping too hard.

Thursday xxx October, 2014

Prep: Hot shower, Zirh Alpha Hydroxy Face Wash
Pre: Cold water, TOBS Herbal Pre-Shave Gel
Brush: Thäter 4125/2
Soap: Palmolive / La Toja
Razor: Digress HD
Blade: Rapira Super Stainless #3
Post: Myrsol Metisol, Acqua di Parma Collezione Barbiere ASB
Fragrance: Knize Forest Toilet Water

Result: I picked up the TOBS Gel whilst in the store yesterday and used it this morning. On the basis that this was the only change from my shave yesterday it did seem to make a difference and felt very nice on the skin. That aside - all was very nice this morning.

Cheer

Jon

Thursday

Morning, gents.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Treet Durasharp (6)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave cream: Erasmic
Aftershave: Sensational Indulgences Sandalwood
Cologne: Sensational Indulgences Sandalwood

Haven't been on here for a while so here goes:

Prep, hot shower with olive oil soap
Vulfix 404
Bit of Faena Myrtle and Monsavon
Pass 1 & 2 Merkur 37c with Personna lab blue (2ish)
Pass 3 Merkur 45 bakelite razor with PLB (1)
Alum block
Cien ASB

Good shave, trying the bakelite was an experiment and I'm very pleased with the result, it may displace my superspeed as my travel razor. I'm surprised how good the Monsavon is, I just used the Faena to make it smell a bit nicer.
