Cold water splash
Lea Stick (grated)
Vulfix Grosvenor handle w/ TGN 22mm Finest Badger knot
ATT M2 Kronos
Personna Lab Blue (1)
Myrsol Emulsion
Lalique Hommage à l'Homme EdT

Excellent combination of software and hardware today.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

AOS horn handle rebranded Plisson #8 HMW
Hoffritz Futur/Wilkinson Super Sword (NOS)
RL Safari SS
Myrsol Emulsion
RL 'Safari' EdT (vintage juice)

First time ever trying a Futur and I really didn't know what to expect. I'd guess this is a vintage rebranded Merkur (has 'Hoffritz' on the cap). Felt a bit strange in my hand, but not a problem. Before the shave was finished, I had ended up on the #2 setting. If the Futur was cranked up, I can see this being lots more aggressive than a Fatboy is capable of.

Nice shave! The head was a good fit, although I was skeptical of how that thing looks at first glance. No problem figuring the angle, although I did come close to leaving a red mark from pushing the envelope somewhat. No spots as it turned out, going a little slower than usual. This takes some attention on my neck. Very little feedback, which I actually prefer. Not a lot of sound or handle vibes.

Yeah, got a comfortable and close happy shaving time, and this is gonna be used a bit more.

BBS results,

Martin

First try of the coconut oil. Not keen, too oily which should be surprising. Back to the Shea.

SUNDAY EVENING

Pre: Warm rinse & Aleppo soap (left on)
Soap: Institut Karite
Brush: Semogue Oc 2012 LE (bodger)
Razor: Gillette Slim Twist
Blade: Gillette Super Thin
Post: Witch hazel, Proraso balm

A while since I've used this razor and so I'd forgotten how astonishingly effective it is. I find it has a really big sweet spot and has just the right level of aggression.

A good shaving start to the week!
