Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Wickham's Hard Soap v2 - Dandyism
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: Omega Boar 10005
Razor: Stadet (Stahly head + Cadet handle)
Blade: Feather (3)
After: Aqua Velva Musk AS, Zirh Soothe ASB

First time using Darron's v2 soap. Scent is great fresh and lively, good stuff.
The actual soap performed well, no complaints really. This was the last use of this Feather blade and it was starting to feel a bit rough but the soap gave enough protection. I finished up BBS with no irritation, so a worthy soap.

isaiah53 if you're watching, the Aqua Velva was a blast and went nicely with the Dandyism scent.

Have a great weekend, people.

Soap: WSP "Rustic" shaving soap - Vetyver
Brush: Simpson's M6 TSN-LE, 22mm 2-band Manchurian
Razor 1: J.A. Henckels "415" (Father's razor)

Post: Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Fine Fresh Vetiver
A nice relaxing Saturday shave. WSP soap lathered ridiculously easy (helped by the RR/HTGAM pre-shave). Dad's razor was super smooth coming off the CrOx/FeOx linen with a fresh edge.
Great start to the day. Nothing to do but chill some beer and get the BBQ ready for later.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch rebranded Simpsons best
1956 Diplomat/Filomatic Titanio (NOS...thanks Good Doctor)
Xpec SC
Myrsol Emulsion
Jacomo de Jacomo EdT

Time to get this beauty wet once again. One of my favorite fixed head razor designs, both performance and looks wise. The gold plating on both these and the earlier Aristocrats was very good. You will still see many in great shape, considering how old they are. Not a heavy piece, but nicely balanced.

This vintage Spanish blade paired up well.....very smooth combo. My 4th shave on the Titanio being used in other razors and still ok. I will maybe try one more time with it.

You members who have never shaved with a gold plated US Aristo/Diplomat, it's a razor to be tried for sure. Maybe design wise a bit like a superspeed , but a whole lot classier and better built. Also, it doesn't shave like any superspeed I have tried. These can still be bought reasonably.

BBS results,

Martin
