Easily my closest straight shave to date sadly spoiled two tiny nicks one either side of my mouth where the skin goes from tight to loose, clearly caused by not stretching the skin tight...... I will learn!

Result: Very quick wtg shave to remove the worst of my stubble.

Saved by Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop​

This morning I found out this Dovo Bismarck was pulling a little and it was not so comfortable. After all, I honed this razor the day I received it as a gift and - although they said it was sold as shave ready - it truly needed proper honing. It was about one year ago. When I am traveling I always bring with me my lovely Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop which perfectly fits in my bag. All I needed to do was to spread Mastro Livi chromium oxide stick on the loom strop, do about ten laps on the razor and this gave me a very good and sharp edge. Ready to shave!​
