I tried the Jubilee soap when I was absolutely new to wet shaving, but at the time I did not have the skills to lather it up properly. So I passed it on. Now I have my technique under control at will try again.

A vintage jar of Westphal's shaving cream arrived. Over the decades it has dried to become a semi-soft soap. It has a very nice green, lemongrass fragrance, possibly with a slight touch of menthol. I'm looking forward to trying it.
