Wednesday 23rd August

Bath / Nivea Men Active Wash
Wickham 1912 Citrus Musk
Yaqi 24mm Tuxedo
Merkur 39c
Astra SP (4)
Lavender witch hazel mixture
Cacharel EdT

I lost track of how many shaves I'd had with this Astra blade. It's done well I think but it's seen its last use.
A very good shave but for one weeper on my Adams apple, due to user error.
A few sprays of smelly stuff to finish

Today a Black Ship Shave Off. Left side of the face with the products on the left part of the picture, right side with the products on the right side of the picture. Henckels vs Henckels, Scurvy vs Bob. It's a draw!

What a difference a blade makes, now I see why our American cousins rate this amazing little razor so highly.
When you have the British 1912 and this gem of a razor do we really need a modern Gem bladed razor.
No.
But I'd welcome a good one with open arms (depending on price) :D

Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready Natural Angle
Blade: ER Corrux NOS (17)
Brush: Plisson Synthetic
Soap: DR Harris Windsor
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDP: Miller Harris Le Cedre

The Corrux blade just goes on and on, this morning I stropped it on Hemp and then Nylon webbing with no Feox, the result a super velvety comfortable edge but it could have been sharper, I am fairly satisfied now that the best treatment for these blades is a just a few very light daily laps on Feox followed by a few on plain leather. I am off in the morning until Tuesday and will probably shave each day with the OCMM, it's a shame you cannot use this blade in that razor.

Regards
Dick.
