SOTD Sat. 27th April to Fri. 3rd May 2013

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Razor: Merkur Progress #6
Blade: 7 O'Clock Super Stainless #2
Brush: Neep 26mm (48mm Loft) Stone Extra Silvertip #1283
Soap: VITOS Super Extra Coconut
Post: Proraso Menthol Post Cream
Aftershave: Spieck Splash

A superb shave.

Note to self, check what number the progress is on before shaving, i assumed it was still on #3. It had actually gone past #5 back to #1, it was excellent though, felt just like shaving with my FaTip!

Zero irritation, just a tiny nick under my nose from a XTG pass.

1st time out for me with a kamisori style razor and i was quite surprised that it wasn't too bad i had 1 cut which was self inflicted as i switched hands when i should have stuck with what i was doing but i was oozing confidence at the time but otherwise a very nice 2 pass DFS with a couple of touch up's with the resche..

Prep: Musgo Real Glycerin Lime Soap
Razor: Joseph Elliot 5/8
Soap: MWF
Brush: Chinese Pure 24 mm
A/S: My own batch

Result: Fantastic! This was the first time I've managed to shave my entire face with the straight and not need to do a touch up with a DE. It isn't BBS but it's damned close. My skin also felt a lot less raw afterward, I don't know whether this has anything to do with the straight or not, but it's welcome.

I haven't felt this chuffed with my shave since my first BBS DE shave!
