What is VC2 like compared to a 1924/1912

Kent soap
Vulfix Bodger
Progress on 4 then 2, Posilver Stainless
Skin Bracer

1st time with the Progress. Nice, felt efficient. A couple of weepers on the adam's apple and little unexpected red dot or 2 on the neck show that I need to do some fine tuning. It's quite a bit heavier than my usual vintage Gillettes. Not quite as nimble with it around the 'tache either...yet.

First outing this morning for my recently acquired Rocket HD:

Shower before shave
Proraso Green Pre-shave
Omega 49
Proraso Green Shaving Cream
Gillette Rocket HD
Astra SP (1)
Cold water rinse
Proraso A/S
Fonex A/S balm - Sportiv

I found the razor unbelievably mild and couldn't believe it was going to do the job. However, the Rocket gave me a great 3 pass BBS shave.

That's brave at setting 4 for a first go. I usually go 2.5, 2, 1.5 (3 passes). Try taking it down a notch.
Shave on.

Pre: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Oil Soap
Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies 'Honeysuckle' Soap
Brush: Edwin Jagger Best Badger Brush
Razor: ATT Atlas R1
Blade: Personna Platinum (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel & Speick After Shave Balm & Clinique M Lotion
Scent: Jo Malone Grapefruit Cologne

This mornings shave was as great. This is my 1st PPF soap & I have to say I really like it. My skin felt fantastic afterwards.

Cheers,
Ross

Saturday

Afternoon, all.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Åžik Bay cheapo Turkish razor
Blade: Dorco (1)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: Wickham's Imperial Tonic
Aftershave: Professor Blighty's unscented splash
Cologne: James Bronnley

Terrific shave. The ultra-light, cheap, all-plastic Turkish razor is a ferocious shaver but does a great job when respected. The Imperial Tonic is out of this world: as top-quality as the other SS's with an amazing scent which lingers nicely and goes really well with a James Bronnley or Acqua di Colonia type cologne.
