Many thanks to you both and all others for your kind words and wishes.
Both Mum and Maggie-May are doing fine.
She is their second child. Mikey Paul was born in October 2014. Due to complications at birth he suffered a quite severe stroke which left him with some brain damage.
The poor boy is prone to fits and has been in and out of hospital a fair bit. Luckily though, he has been on a particular medication recently that has kept the fitting at bay.
As you could understand, we were all very apprehensive about the arrival of the second child.

Shaving recipe for today.


Prep: Hot shower:/Cien ~ Pure Fragrance free Bath Soap Body Wash. & Vosene Shampoo.

Pre:

Wilkinsons Fruits ~ Coconut & Vanilla Body Butter.
Brush: Frank Shaving ~ Synthetic .

Bowl Lather.

Cream : Boots: Cool Cologne Shave Cream .

Blade: Super-Max Blue Diamond Titanium coated . (2)

Razor: Lord L125.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Alum Block./Cold Water Face Rinse/Aloe Vera Gel.

Selin ~ Lemon Cologne.

A relaxing 3 pass + pick ups sunday morning shave with no errors to report .

it's always a pleasure to use the Boots Cool cologne cream, which for it's price produces a wonderful protective slick lather, with a superb classic fragrance, which lasts through out the shave.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Selin~ Lemon Cologne.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling devine.;)

Blade: Shark Super Chrome

Aftershave: Simple Moisturiser
EDP: Miller Harris La Fumee Maroc

My blade experimentation with the R41 continues, although I do not have a huge stock of DE blades I do have very many single packets of 'odds and ends' that I have acquired over many years and I intend to try all the blades that are still in production in this razor. I will report my findings when I have finished but blade choice is such a hugely personal matter that one man's choice is hardly a reason for somebody else to stock up on that blade!

I can declare here and now that every shave so far has been billiard ball smooth, the differences between blades has been in comfort and they have been significant.

A nice pleasant Sunday morning shave but these Feather blades aren't my favourite which is probably why I don't reach for this razor as often as the VC-1.
