A rather pleasant cooling effect during the three pass shave, lingering on after for about the time it takes me to enjoy my morning mug of coffee, ten maybe fifteen minutes, hard to tell exactly. Lather was plenty and slick. Scent generic clean mentholated. Post shave a bit of a let down on the dry side but this is a tough call because my whole face was in a pretty bad state this morning (blaming cold weather and central heating).
Razor - ATT SE1 Kronos
Blade - Schick Proline
Brush - SOC 2012 SE (mix)
Soap - Wickham 1912,Cashmere
Post - Thayers Cucumber,Aloe Vera Gel
Aftershave - Davidoff Cool Water
Another belter of a shave with the SE1.The SOC SE churned up a crack'n lather from the wonderful Wickham's soap.
Smooth as you like !!!
Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: Semogue 1470 Boar
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Razor: MIL Industries OC (pass around)
Blade: Astra SP
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, BBA PSB
Putting the cosmetic issues aside this razor isn't bad, I had a very smooth shave with minimum effort.
I replaced the ridiculously heavy handle but just in case that wasn't the reason for the mild discomfort after yesterday's shave I chose to go with the marvelous BBA PSB.
The handle was the problem but the BBA will still be a good defence against the biting wind when I venture out later.
Happy Shaving one and all.
Every so often I stumble across a blade and razor combination that really works and today was one that didn't work; for whatever reason today's combination just didn't work, a combination of a lot of blade exposure on the face but without producing great results.
The Omega S10065 wasn't a brush I was massively enthusiastic about when I first bought it and even though it's tips aren't the softest yand the fibres are on the springy side of things it produces a superb lather with relative ease.

First shave from my grandfathers Tech, typical Tech shave, I'm not a big fan of Techs, not a bad shave but not as smooth or comfortable as my favourite razors, the blade was ok, decent enough for 50 year old (1968). I looked forward to this soap but it seems to have lost almost all it's scent from being uncovered in the cupboard, perfomed well but not the minty explosion I was expecting.
