Pre Shave: Hot Shower + Body Shop Maca Root face wash and Proraso White
Razor: Schick E2 Canada
Blade: Schick - Chinese (#1)
Brush: Maseto 24mm finest
Soap: Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: Bulldog original balm
EDT: Montblanc Individuel

First shave with the Schick E2 and what a shave, so smooth and a very close finish.

Sat 30th Dec

Omega 11126 boar
Blues Soap
Schick Type F
Schick Proline ( 3 )
Pitralon Original A/S lotion

The Type F is rather a good looking Razor, and is extremely tactile and the alloy Handle feels so comfortable. During a Shave it is so smooth and initial clearance of whiskers is vey good. However for me and my tough beard it is a little on the mild side, and I cannot get the same ultra close finish such as I get with an E2.

I had the same experience yesterday with a Canadian E2, a fantastic shave. Probably my best Injector Shave with a Razor dedicated to single blade use.

Famex/BIC. Thumbs-up.

Greetings All,

Saturday pm shave.

Three days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – Face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Soap: Saponificio Varesino Cosmo (sample) thanks @Barry Giddens
Razor: Gillette Slim Twist (white handle)
Blade: Tweet SS (2nd)
Brush: RazoRock 400 (Bowl lather)
Bowl: Bideford Pottery Bowl

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, then a shower and concluded with Crabtree & Evelyn, West Indian Limes AS Balm.

Needed a shave, three days was enough. Tried the sample of SV Cosmo shaving soap and there is only one thing I can say. . . I WILL be buying the tin and adding it to my den – wonderful scent, wonderfully easily lather to produce and cushioning. Not sure about the residue slickness, I find samples lack with something and this one did on this point. This has happened to me before so will be buying the full tin.

My usual weekend two passes and feeling good. Liked the C&E WIL Aftershave balm, it absorbed quickly into my skin and the scent is quite pleasant.

Cheers,

Brian

As this is my last shave of the year - HAPPY NEW YEAR, Fellow Shavers

image.jpg 30th December evening shave

Prep ~ Shower, Birch tar soap
Razor ~ Merkur Eskimo set to 3
Blade ~ NOS Wilkinson Sword ( British )
Soap ~ Valobra
Brush ~ Brad Sears - Gonzo
Post ~ BBA PSB
Scent ~ Serge Lutens - Chergui

A very close shave helped no doubt by the NOS blade which turned out to be very comfortable and a joy to use, thanks Brian :)
Finnished off with the wonderful EDP that is Chergui by Serge Lutens, as smooth as can be and smelling fab :)

Have a great evening :)

PRE - Shower

SOAP - (mix) Razorock Stallion & Haslinger Sheepmilk

BRUSH - SOC Boar

RAZOR - Dovo ‘Mammut' extra hollow(5)

POST - Razorock Stallion AS & almond oil

Finally the madness has ceased!
Thank God!
I'm not sure how many customers I have cut and shaved but it seemed never ending at one point.

I am of course very glad to be so busy. Without my customers I would be nowhere.

The mix of these soaps worked incredibly well. While I fully support Razorock the Stallion it can be a little strong scent wise, that is why I decided to mix the Haslinger Sheepmilk to soften it a little.

It produced a first class lather for any shave!

The edge hasn't changed a bit. Still super comfortable and speedy.
No cromox or diamond spray only linen and leather.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you and your family.

A cold, wet and windy morning today, so a slow and steady warm relaxing shave was much welcomed.
2 passes effectively removed 3 days growth with ease. Honed correctly these ZY razors have a good edge and shaves like no other big boy shaver.

The Moroccan Sunset sample offered the required cushion and glide properties, the hot scuttle brought out the great scent of the soap too.

The count down to the New Year begins..........[emoji784]

Wishing you all good health and a Happy New Year [emoji322][emoji898][emoji322]
