The custom handle really changes the dynamics of the ATT, this thing is a silky smooth sledgehammer!

Been concentrating on stropping, the Berg felt much smoother.

This is the second shave with it. Short answer: Yes, absolutely, but I can see how others might have issues with perhaps the angle and definitely the weight. I've been using the Feather Artist Club system for a little while so I knew what to expect with the blades. Basically, it was a second very easy BBS with no irritation nor weepers.

I'll hammer out some thoughts into a review in a week or two. Even then, it can't be particularly comprehensive until I've tried ProGuards, Supers and Kais in there. I reckon they could give the razor a very different personality.

Sat 6 December.

Neutrogena Glycerine Bar
Tabac Stick - face lather
404 brush- works well.
Futur
Polsilver SI [3]
Alum rub/rinse
Lea A/S Balm

Futur with Polsilver, gets better as my technique has improved with SE shaving.

Fresh Feather Pro so no ATG. Still a very nice shave but I need an ATG pass under my chin and jaw line to get a prefect shave. Very pleased with the CRSW soap. I'd bought a sample pack and Sandalwood was the only scent I quite liked. A full tub has a much deeper scent and it's very nice.

Another very nice 2 pass BBS shave.

How does that razor perform mate?

Surprising well. It is more aggressive in my opinion than an EJ89. Think of a cross between a Schick Krona weight wise with the plastic handle, and Gillette Red Tip in terms of aggressiveness.

I believe This razor is also seen under another name "BigRoc."

This razor is nothing like the Wilkinson Sword Classic which is also plastic but is a mild razor. I load this one with a Big Ben because I want the smooth less sharp blade with the more aggressive razor.

Looks wise and the way the head is shaped it reminds me of a "poor mans PILS" razor. This is not going to win the shiny bling contest but it is a good inexpensive razor.

Super close shave, old type performs well. Aggressive but not overly so. Rubbed the soap on my face and face lathered. No issues at all.

I agree. The sandalwood select is much better in the full tin than the sample. It's the only CRSW "Select" soap I own.
This photo reminds me that I still miss my Cobra. ;)

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Vintage Crabtree & Evelyn "Mysore Sandalwood"
Brush: Rubberset-400 replica with 26mm TGN Finest 2-band
Razor 1: J.A. Henckels "415" (Father's razor)
Razor 2: Schick dial adjustable (M15)
Blade: Schick Plus Platinum (NOS) 1997 (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Village Barber balm
I need to work on the right water mixture for these vintage soaps. I can get a great lather in the bowl but it dissipates on my face. Got it in the end but took some repeated trips back to the puck. Great scent for an old soap though.
