Cold water splash
Speick Stick (grated)
M&F Urn in Blonde Badger
ATT M2 Kronos
Astra SP (1)
Speick ASB
Borsari Acqua Classica EDC

Ready for whatever the evening may bring!

RE: SOTD Saturday 6th November to Friday 12th November

Shower
Wickham SS Bayrum
FS Silvertip
Tech on Custom stainless handle
Rapira Swedish Supersteel [1]
Blue Stratos
3 days growth, was pushing the tech to its limits, but nice and steady and I've probably achieved the best shave to date. Smooth! No irritation, next to no sting from AS. Cracking combo.

SATURDAY MORNING

Prep: Hot rinse
Rasor: Myers & Son 6\8
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 Super
Cream: TOBS Jerwyn Street - bowl lathered
AS: Veg
Post: GFT Sandalwood skin food

A good effort for me today. Full three pass with the straight, a decent shave (not BBS not a cut above DFS) and no claret spilt.

Jobsagoodun!

You do have the most wonderful collection of immaculate old Gillette DE's; just lovely.

I note the one item consistent in your shaves is the Thayers Witch Hazel; is it really that good? I have never used witch hazel, do tell us about it.

Keep up the great posts!

Regards
Dick.

Hello Dick,
Thank you for your kind words
I find the witch hazel calms my skin down after the shave and before I apply the aftershave, I suppose it won't be for everyone but that's my take on it.
I have a few more vintage Gillettes waiting to make an appearance over the coming weeks...
Regards Brian

Prep- Hot towel
Soap- B&M Cheshire
Brush- Men-U
Razor- Mongoose + ATT Kronos
Blade- Kai titan mild [2]
Post- B&M Cheshire AS

A simple effortless two passes shave producing smooth result, this razor I think is easy to use (having used Valets & 1912's).

Sunday:

Strangely dissatisfying shave today. My skin feels very dry - probably the effects of the central heating... The 4711 smells very nice but I don't think it's very nourishing, still €6 at Cologne / Bonn airport can't be sniffed at!

Very pleased with the CRSW soap. I'd bought a sample pack and Sandalwood was the only scent I quite liked. A full tub has a much deeper scent and it's very nice.

I agree. The sandalwood select is much better in the full tin than the sample. It's the only CRSW "Select" soap I own.
This photo reminds me that I still miss my Cobra. ;)

Yes, the Cobra is wonderful, it's very photogenic too.
