tabac soap

Once you go Tabac you never go back.

Enjoy it. That's gonna be my shave tomorrow.

Dead dog. Old man. Old woman in a nursing home. Funeral home. Tart's handbag. Old tramp in a blackcurrant bush. Chuck Norris. Last night's cigar ashes. Heavily mustached, shirtless 70's porn star.
But I think it smells like victory.

Got the tabac shaving stick in stock if anyone is interested http://www.gallantandklein.co.uk/tabac-original-shaving-soap-stick-100gr/

As I have only been DE shaving a few weeks, I've only used The Palmolive and La Toja shaving sticks so far and I like both a lot. Does anyone know how Tabac soaps or Tabac sticks compare to these, based on performance alone?

Also, will most standard sized soap refills fit into the Tabc sized ceramic bowl? Or would I be right in thinking manufacturers shape their bowls and soaps differently, so you have to get their soaps and matching bowls in order to use them?

Thanks
Stephen

Tabac performance blows them out the water. It's very easy to lather and ticks all the shaving boxes. Being easy to lather also means you don't need much product for each shave so I reckon the puck should last a long time - so really it's good value for money.
Not everyone likes the scent but I think just about everyone agrees its performance is top notch.

I'd say the Tabac soap would only really fit their bowl. I'd recommend getting the Tabac bowl anyway, it looks stylish and is unique. Personally, as soon as my Tabac runs out (whenever that may be) I'll be refilling it so the bowl should be around a long while.

i ordered one at this price also, didnt see it from this site just spotted on ebay but defo a bargain price

tabac performance wise and IMO scent wise blows La toja and palmolive out the water. Thats not to say either of these are bad in any way, its just the power of Tabac. Want space at the bar, wear tabac!

I appreciate your views. Would that be the stick or the soap? Is one better than the other, or are they both very good?

Thanks
Stephen

I believe the soap is the same between the stick and the dish. I have both and think the dish soap is slightly better but that might be just be the way it looks.
The stick is a big bodger though and makes Palmolive/Boots sticks look puny by comparison.
