The Ryder Cup

I follow most major sports. This Ryder Cup will rank among the greatest ever. Apart from the weather, everything about it was brilliant. Wonderful sportsmanship among the players of both sides, some great matches and superb play under pressure. And the crowd - they were fantastic. Boisterous but silent when needed.

Wonderful. I'll sleep well tonight. And so will a few people with sore heads in Wales and elsewhere.

It was, I have to say, a magnificent fight back by the Americans, and all credit to them. But a tremendous victory for Europe, and personally for Colin Montgomerie.

The course was stunning, especially first thing this morning as the mist was burning off. As Fido said, one of the greatest Ryder Cup's ever.

Regards

Ian
