Unable to Post.

Greetings,

I have been try and trying all day without success to Post in the Shave of the day section (I have also tried other sections) all without success, I just do not know what I am doing wrong.
This is the message that I get.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forum/newreply.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can you help me please?

I'm not really sure, my forum mental horsepower is limited, but I don't think so, I was trying to post my shave of the day in the section for this week.

I am sure it is something I am doing, but I can't work out what it is.
As they say in Norfolk I have got myself into a 'buggers muddle'

If someone with more knowledge could 'bail me out' that would be great!

Have you got any images, etc.? I found that if my formatting instructions (e.g. Images, links, bold text) weren't quite right, I got the permission error. If that is the case, try using plain text first.

Yes I do have an image but I have downsized it to under the half meg. limit and it is an ordinary JPEG.

I composed the post in word and then copied and pasted it in to the forum, would this bring with it any formatting that the forum would not 'like'?

I am on the edge of my knowledge spectrum here so please stay with me if I sound like a dipsh*t!

I have found out where my problem was and why I was unable to post.

I tried to describe a newish Omega boar brush as stiff as a Po*er, the missing letter is K.

It would appear that the word Po*er (with the K) is a banned word and typing it in automatically when you try to preview or post brings up the Error/you do not have permission screen.

I could understand if the 'f' and 'c' words were banned but Po*er I find a little strange, though I am not so naive as not to know what else can be as stiff as a Po*er other than a new badger brush!!!

It really is only the word p*ker that brings up the access denied screen!
For example

oker boker coker doker eoker foker goker hoker ioker joker koker loker moker noker oker p*ker qoker rokersoker toker uoker voker woker xoker yoker zoker

Only one of them that causes a problem!

I wonder if there are any other 'banned ' words embedded in the forum?

I think it's really funny?

I think ban on P*ker will be to prevent mass spam posts from online casinos (a forum populated 99% by blokes is a prime candidate to be targeted.) At least the site passes the Scunthorpe test.
 
I think you may be on to something, Chopper. I can't get R0lex or p*ker to appear when trying to post from my work PC but I got R*lex to post ok from Tapatalk Android. If we are all using work PCs could the filtering be happeningf there? I for one cannot send emails from work which have swear words in. Should I ever need to, I can circumvent by simply adding spaces inbetween the letters. Of course, this serves to emphasise the original word....

Yep, I can use naughty words like poker and rolex from tapatalk but not work pc. Curious as to how those who are affected are accessing the site
