I don't think it's on the browser side of things - the error returned is a server side problem. I would guess that the tapatalk application has a slightly different route into the site - hence different validation being applied.

I am accessing through a steam driven desktop PC running on XP. I use Chrome as a browser and run AVG anti Virus which I have configured to update daily.
