What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

Got a funeral today, so something smart and restrained

Hope it goes well. I've done (as Vicar) funerals every day this week so far and today is my day off.

Yesterday I had a quite a rough-looking family who one might have thought were "hard" but I lots of big blokes and lads were in tears, absolutely sobbing and breaking down.

It was their mum / nan -- I'm guessing a real working class matriarch.

I felt so sorry for them, their grief was literally uncontainable.

The third of the Smiths.

Circa 1955, made in Cheltenham, blued steel hands with raised gold numbers. Very very good condition, slight scratch on plexiglass crystal will polish out.

Two wrist shots:

And two angled to catch the light

Well earned!

It wa a very nice service, thanks. I do get very cross about who can't, or won't, dress appropriately for funerals....

Oh dear. Lord have mercy. I've just bought three more "1215" Smiths...

...Expect one of them to come up on B/S/T sometime.

I'll keep my eyes peeled - they are lovely.

Planet Ocean for me today, had to let the strap out half a link last night. Hopefully that's the weather causing that

Nice piece jaycey. How old is it? I like the aged tritrium lume.

1962, that isn't tritium Rev, I had the dial re-lumed with vintage luminova by a brilliant watch smith in Germany. The old lume had virtually disintegrated.

My favourite watch and my best investment.

Better spent on a Pepsi for the wrist than Coke up the nose.

Today I'm wearing the Rev-O raffle watch thank you Ollie, I gave the watch a little clean up replaced the strap with a similar 16mm tan calfskin with contrasting stitching, hope you like it Ollie.:)

Damn that looks good!

Nice one Jamie, and as always I love your photography.

That has made me smile on a stressful day.

And having seen the news today maybe we should do another Smiths raffle?

I think I may have another one somewhere . . . .
