Which facial Cleanser?

I currently have been using a face wash just before I shave and would like to get another one. I have tried Kiehls Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser which I found to be excellent before a shave, really seemed to help soften those bristles. It was in a sample pack and costs £30 a pop, so I'm looking for recommendations of something a little cheaper. Currently I've been using a Nivea cleanser.

Try This one,pre shave face wash.

Please, feel free to carry on without me, I'll just sit and listen quietly . . . always wondered about such things.

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

;)

You know what, I never wash my face, my skin hates it. A splashing of plain water in the shower to get rid of the sleep, and that's all it needs, it gets very very tight otherwise.

Face washers: Is it because you have oily facial skin?

Molton Brown soap

Not cheap, but the assistant recommends that you halve it, and only wash the face with it. It says it can be used as shaving soap. I don't bang on about many products but this is the best facial soap. A bar will last a year easily if used only on the face.

Cheers

Link didn't work, is this the brown bar under shaving soap "moisture-rich aloe & karité ultrabar £12.50" I got a face wash tube and shower gel in a gift pack at Christmas and only recently got round to using it. Their stuff is good, expensive but the shower gel and face wash tube work great and don't fry the skin. Must pick one of these up next time I am in Buchannan street as the face wash tube is nearly doe from the missus and daughter using it

The double 'F' in "affraid" suggests otherwise. A reference to your cup size, perhaps?

Soap at the moment, but I have used the Nivea Sensitive stuff in a tube before now. Nothing more fancy than that.

Thanks for your comments guys.

I have dry skin (I think). I started to use a facial cleanser after watching one of mantics videos. I always thought scraping a layer of skin of your face was good enough, but apparently it may not be as there is other stuff that should be removed first. I used to have a area, that was a little red after shaving, one side of the neck. This mantic mentions can be reduced by using a cleanser, I appears to have resolved my problem. I have read that some soften the beard better than others.

My local Poundland currently has stock of Real Shaving Company Daily Facial Scrub.
I have no idea what it does or even if its what you are looking for, but it comes in a tube and for £1 a throw it might be worth a look.
