A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

Everything in the shave set up this morning worked together wonderfully. The Parker Variant/Treet Dura Sharp is a great duo slicing through my face & head stubble with effortless ease.

The Nivea Men Body Shaving Stick provided a cushioned protective slick lather leaving a superb post shave feel.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Brush: Wald A1
Soap: SW Boonana
Razor: Shield GEM
Blade: GEM PTFE
Post: SW Boonana AS

Today's theme is Spooky Season, any Halloween release or other offerings specifically aimed at autumn, so decided to try out SW Boonana. It's an interesting scent, definite hit of banana (which is in itself strange), but there's something else in there that takes the edge off. Not bad but wouldn't use it daily.

Along with that the daily challenge was to carve a pumpkin, or failing pumpkin availability then anything other food stuff that could be carved. Luckily making pizza today so I had some peppers on hand.

Photo treasure hunt, I had to try and slip a cactus in somewhere. I had tried the garden centre for a banana cactus but it was a non-starter, so best I could do. Bloody weird!

Have a good one all!

Cheers

Marc

Blade - Gillette Perma - sharp

The Masamune is a great travel razor, matched today with a Perma-sharp for a fantastic finish. Smart enough to be suited and booted for the my mates LI reunion and parade in Shrewsbury.
Heavy night last night and I don't see things changing for today, those lads are full on.
Remembering my Grandfather today "Up the DLI".
Enjoy your day all.

Saturday 22 June

Firstly to say we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to the likes of the DLI @Tony'schin. My grandad was Horse Artillery 14/18. I’m sure you and your mates will raise a few toasts to these brave men (y) Ha’way the Lads!

Looks can deceive. The Blutt shows very little blade edge if you look at the foto. So it’s a mild razor? Nope, it’s absolutely spot on, probably 6 or 7 on a 1-10 scale. It has 086 stamped on the head. It is a beautifully made razor. Great attention to detail. The handle has criss-cross knurling and is slightly thicker where forefinger a thumb can comfortably sit. The head cap is slightly longer than the base to cover the ends of the blade which often stick out on other razors.
The brush which has a soft synthetic knot, Gillette 7 o’clock blade and the Eucris soap, which I have @Mike Smart to thank for introducing me to, completed a perfect combo and a great start to the weekend. Just need the weather to step up now and give us a bit of sunshine.
Have a great weekend fellas!

You changed your SOTD style lately M. and just to say the effort that goes into a themed SOTD is much appreciated.
Keep' em comin'

A superlative shave. It's great to be reunited with my trusty go-to razor. I had it ceramic coated courtesy of a member on this forum and am very happy with results. Although not perfect it is very good and has preserved all the little details.

The soap came with the package too and I adore the scent. So much so I went for lots of cold water as my post-shave to enjoy the soap.

The blade is the same one I've used a few times now and still excellent.

I'll post a review of the ceramic coating later. I had two others done and will do photos and detailed comments.

Blade: BiC Chrome Platinum
Brush: Men Rock Unknown. Probably synthetic

Razor - RazoRock SLOC
Blade - Ladas super stainless (2)
Brush - Body shop (synth)
Soap - Cella Bio
A/S - Lea 0%
Balm - Nivea sensitive pro

Finally got round to posting a S.O.T.D pic. I think it took me longer to take the crappy photo than to have the bloody shave!

The SLOC is one of my favourite razors, I usually use it as a 'go to' when I just want to have a quick shave with no fuss or bother.
The handle gives it a nice bit of heft and it seems to work well with any blade. (YMMV as always)

Enjoy the rest of the day Gents.

Savonnaire du moulin
Brad Sears -AP Shave Co 28mm G5A SHD
Mongoose B2 Hempel titanium handle
Kai titan mild #4
Thayers cucumber witch hazel
Myrugia 1916 Agua de Colonia

What a smashing shave but to get a decent lather had to rub the soap puck across my wetted face, two pass shave then a splash of the witch hazel followed by a liberal splash of the cologne to finish.

Signature Soaps Danum
Mühle Classic L
Ikon Deluxe DLC
Gillette Silver Blue
Men’s Grooming Vetiver and Sandalwood balm

A superb Signature Soaps lather and the first pass with the Ikon Deluxe cleared two days growth. The second clean up pass was mainly for fun and left me with a clean, close and comfortable finish. So good to get rid of the stubble it really doesn’t become an old man.
