It most certainly is. Since I started thisIs that a quaich I see being used as a shaving bowl sir? Genius!
Great idea, when I started last year I was using a small chef’s bowl (the bowl being small, not the chef!) which worked a treat but I was worried about dropping it, broken glass on the bathroom floor not being a good idea!) I do have a quaich but my wife has it in a display cabinet with other silver things - hhmmm! It most certainly is. Since I started thisobsessionhobby I see things differently. I didn’t see crappy leaving present / drinking vessel, I saw ……..shaving bowl
It is the shaving cream tube of Musgo that I have.
Scent is not very strong (nowhere near Derby levels).
I'd say it has some similarities with Derby but is more subtle and less crude if that makes any sense. I'd never drawn those parallels before. It has that light powdery base scent that most if not all shaving creams have if they're not big heavy fragrances, which I guess takes some harshness off they the Derby sticks don't. I presume it's the shaving cream formulation that has that smell before scent is added.
No hint of vomit but this is a cream so maybe they aren't as susceptible to that issue, if at all? I don't know.
Not much help probably but I tried.
I'll give the cream a go tonight in a full shave rather than a quick test Lather so I can get a better handle on the scentYou did ... thank you.
Fresh nose and I am most definitely getting Derby. It's not quite toilet puck citrus but it is industrial cleaner. The acrid undercurrent is not present today, so maybe that was a coincidental thing at the time when shaving last night. I'll see tonight as I intend to use the same kit - I like the performance of the soap.
Maybe I'll leave it outside for the day ... to "air".
