de Buyer fry pans

This pan has really changed & looks like it is about 40years old. They are built for way more use than a cooking household can throw at it. It will last the test of time for sure.

I recently bought a De Buyer crepe pan for the old lady. It was 15 bucks off amazon & I bought it as a kind of wind up. When i got the frying pan i mentioned the crepe pans ....she cooks crepes quite often & she said it would be a waste as it is not non-stick. The wind up worked....she seasoned the pan & proceded to to make crepes. The first three stuck & stuck & burnt & it was looking like curtains. I got her to turn the heat down a bit & she decided to use a piece of kithen roll swiped on butter to coat the pan prior to adding the batter mix. Voilla.
