Anyone here a movie fan?

I love a good film, and watched captain Philips a couple of days ago and it was sensational.

Without Tom Hanks it would have been a brilliant film, with him...absolutely astounding.

Will be watching Gravity next week...
 
I watched Captain Phillips the week before last and thought it was a reasonably solid film. I wasn't expecting much starting out, but it held my attention right through to the end.

Have Gravity but have not gotten around to watching it yet.

Watched Rambo:First Blood for the 2nd weekend in a row last night, you know what you're getting so just kicked back and enjoyed it... the young lad watched it with me (thus me reasoning for watching it twice) and enjoyed it too. Rambo II is on tomorrow at 9pm so will record that.

Watched Rush in the cinema late last year and really enjoyed it. Have a copy at home now but have yet to re-watch it.

I could start listing all the classics then that I'd watch over and over, but they're all the usual suspects (Casino, Goodfellas, Shawshank Redemption etc.)
 
I'm a film fan and I thought this film was a pile of shite to be honest Hanks performance was as you expect from a actor of his undeniable quality but every other aspect of the film was total crap.

Wolf of Wall Street is certainly worth a watch. One of the best films I've seen in the last 10 years.

Not quite as good as Nacho Libre, mind.
 
I still calls them films rather than moovees.

Probably going to see Wolf of Wall Street tomorrow. The last film we saw was the remake of Robocop, which was better than expected overall, though was never going to have the same cult appeal as the original.
 
Absolutely loved the original robocop. Have deliberately avoided the new one due to not wanting to be left bitterly disappointed.

Glad to heart it's not awful :)
 
I'm a big film fan. I wish David Lynch would bring something out. Generally I'm not a big fan of creepy surrealism, but Lynch's films are just something else. With the exception of Eraserhead, I just can't get into it.
