L'Occitane ASB

First time using a WK soap. I was very impressed, especially with the post shave feel. The smell does have an outdoor wet woodsy scent. Reminds me of camping. Upon recommendation, I reapplied the lather to have it sit on my face while cleaning up the sink area. I also found the L'Occitane to be a good complement to the Tempest. Both contain an essence of birch tar and the ASB adds just a bit of floral freshness.

PreShave: Warm water
Cream: Trumper Violet
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer (Merkur 39C)
Blade Derby Extra (Green) (3)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: Floris 71/72

As I've commented before, there is little scent to the violet—you really have to look (sniff?) for it. But it lathers up and lubricates quite well—and (that's) the point, I suppose.

But a nice shave. Some might not like the Derbys, I have no problem with them, and they're inexpensive.

Enjoy the weekend, gents.
