First Fat Feb shave for not quite so ill now, me!
Prep - shower, Imperial Leather face wash
Bowl - glass
Soap - Kent (MWF rebadge)
Brush - Yaqi Sagrada Familia 22mm synthetic
Razor - Merkur 34c
Blade - Dorco Titan (1)
Post - lather remains face wash, cold rinse, alum block
Splash - Sierran Breeze ASL
Balm - Nivea Replenishing ASB
Fragrance - Mastermind EDT
Refreshment - still on the Lemsip (honey and ginger now)
Hmmm, not sure about this. Was looking forward to brilliant and got mediocre. Lather built up quite quickly, looked and felt creamy and substantial and nice and slippery during first pass, but when reapplied was a lot thinner and was getting watery in the bowl, which translated into juddering razor on face! Maybe I used too much water, or didn’t spend enough time building lather, or maybe I have a poor sample. Face feel after was smooth and comfortable, so I’ll try it again to see if it gets better.
Feeling better by the day, but still a bit up and down. The chesty cough has settled to rumbling voice, I can do a decent impression of James Earl Jones, with the odd wheeze adding an extra touch of Darth Vader. My son is seriously sick of me ‘phoning him to say “I am your father, Luke” even though his name’s not Luke! Or occasionally “The dark side is strong with this one” - but I’m amused!
So you can’t hang over the arms of this settee like you could the old one, so have you found a new comfy bit?
Well this seems good.
But if you stretch out like that there’s no room for anyone else.
