Pre Shave: Hot Shower, Bulldog Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Personna Double Edge USA (#2)
Brush: Kent BLK4 Silver Tip
Cream: L'Occitane Cade
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: None

Great shave today, used the blade before in my Ikon X3 and that was good but the Piccolo is much better.

Real old school feel to my shave tonight with the Gillette tech, Mitchell's wool fat soap and brut.

Used a feather in the tech as I found personna in there just too mild. Best results I've ever had with the feather but do feel I could do with a blade that's between the two. Any suggestions?

I find any of the following do the biz in my Techs: Gillette Nacet, Rubie or 7 o' Clock Yellow. They also get on with an Astra SP. Like you, I find the Personna a bit mild. The Techs are generally mild, smooth fellows and consensus is such that they pair well with more assertive, efficient blades.

Had two shaves with my new Piccolo...it really is a cracker.

Thanks. I love the personna in my Edwin Jagger but agree it needs to be a more assertive blade in the tech. Will give the nacets a go in it next. Feathers are just way too brutal for my skin

Tuesday night...with a newly acquired 1967 Gillette Slim Adjustable

Soap - The Fat
Brush - RazoRock Plissoft 22mm synth.
Face lather
Razor - the 1967 fellow
Blade - Gillette Rubie
Post - Thayer's and Proraso Green a/s

I didn't have much whiskers after Piccolo-ing myself last night and I wasn't sure which setting to for. I chose 5 for 3 passes and 6 for a touch-up under the chin. Great performing razor; a couple of weepers on the chin, but nothing to wail about. 5 seems the sweet spot. Another great razor in the ever-increasing stable. I may 1484687793181-325917589.jpg have to start weeding...

Razor: Gillette Black Beauty w/case R-2 1971
Blade: Personna 74* Tungsten Plus (3)
Brush: Omega Professional 10098
Soap: Route 66 Ghost Town
Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

Everything worked out very well today except for an user error not getting under the chin very well. :angry032: Maybe tomorrow. Razor, blade, soap, brush, and aftershave worked great. Ice storm closing in on use.
