Brush: Razorock 22mm Disruptor Plissoft
Razor: iKon 102 w/ OSS handle
Soap: Wickhams Super Smooth Spice Trade
A/S: Old Spice Original

Second of my dalliance with Super Smooth, perfect combination and like yesterday. Hope this one comes in 1912 eventually. I usually get a too close shave with the 102 but today I had a good shave with it, first use of a new SuperMax Super Platinum blade, seems to work well with every razor I have tried so far.

Georgetown Pottery G12 scuttle
Paladin Sherlock
Houbigant Fougère Royale shaving soap (vintage)
Delta Echo Feather AS-D2/UFO Tornado
Wilkinson Light Brigade (10)
Houbigant Fougère Royale aftershave (vintage)

The Sherlock knot is very much like that of the Lotus, full and with good backbone but very soft on the skin. The handle is quite comfortable.

SOTD 18th Jan.JPG
Pre Shave: Hot Shower, Bulldog Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Merkur 45C
Blade: Personna Double Edge USA (#3)
Brush: Hans Baier Silver Tip
Cream: L'Occitane Cade
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: Nivea Replenishing Balm

First shave with the Merkur 45C, wow what a great shave. Usual 3 pass shave but a real smooth shave and finish, my chin line can often be less than perfect but the first shave with the 45C and it was perfect.

The razor is so light it is barely there, I was very aware of not applying any undue pressure but, as the whole razor is so light it just seemed to work and it was effortless. I do like heavy razors but this works just as well. The Personna blade seems to be going well, I can see me getting some more of these.

+1 on the 45c, I also prefer heavier razors .The 45c is my go to travel razor and I use it in my rotation now and again, always get a good shave with the little red one.;)
