Georgetown Pottery G20 scuttle
Paladin Sumo
Crabtree & Evelyn Sweet Almond Oil shaving soap (vintage) + SAO shaving cream (vintage)
Delta Echo Feather AS-D2/Triad Satin Aristocrat
Super-Max Super Platinum Tiger (1)
RazoRock R160 Sweet Almond aftershave balm

Great stuff. The Sumo is a fine brush. After trying five of the Paladins, I can say that they have the best detail and finish of any brush I've seen or used. Otherwise their overall quality, for me, is about the equivalent of that of Shavemac 2-Band Silvertips, i.e. excellent.

SOTD 19th Dec.JPG

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, Bulldog Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Ikon X3 head on Windrose handle
Blade: Personna Super Lab Blue (#1)
Brush: Hans Baier Silver Tip
Cream: Speick Men
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: Lucido

A number of firsts today, the Speick Cream, the Lab Blue blade and Lucido AS were all first time use, result was pretty good, but I think the X3 is maybe not the best DE razor I have, it is good just not great compared to other razors. Maybe I need to spend more time with the X3 but even a first shave with the Merkur 45C yesterday gave a better result.

The Speick cream is great, not much needed and produces a great lather.

The Lucido AS is great, you can feel the effect for some time after application but there is no scent and skin feels good. I got the Lucido as I liked the idea of no scent, either to avoid a scent completely or to allow use of Colonge/EDT without a clash of scents, so very pleased with the Lucido.

So far the Lab Blue blade seems fine it gave a smooth shave, I will try it in my trusty Fatip Piccolo on Friday to see how it performs.
