Greetings

What a lovely old razor, from what I have read they are excellent shavers. The one thing that is certain (in my mind) is that many of these old razors have about them a certain 'style'; a little bit of swank if you like that most modern razors, as good as most of them are just do not seem to have. Just this mans opinion of course.

Regards
Dick.

A late shave today 18:00,11 hours later than normal :)

Pre-shave - warm shower, Musgo Real Classic Scent Glyce Oil Soap and Proraso pre-shave cream (green).
Razor - Muhle Rocca R96.
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue (day 5).
Soap - Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol Soft Shaving Soap.
Brush - Simpsons Duke 2.
Post shave - Myrsol "Plastic Shave" After Shave Massage - first time I have used this splash.

Don't know what happened - possibly the best shave I have ever had. 2 Passes, little touch up required on the chin.

Skin feels great! Pleasantly surprised with the Myrsol "Plastic shave".

Tuesday evening...

Pre and soap - Proraso Mentol e eucalypti
Brush - RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Face lather
Razor - Gillette Slim Adjustable (6)
Razor - Sputnik #2
Post - Thayer's and Proraso Mentol e Eucalypti

Cool and smooth. Nice 3 pass and touch-up. The Slim is a great tool; and worked well with a Sputnik that I had in one of my blade holders, amongst my caché of razor-related goodies.

Have a great evening/day, folks.

Stephen.

Thanks Dick! It is a great shaver. I completely agree with you. While I like shaves from my moderns, there's just something special about the vintage razors!

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, Bulldog Face Wash and Proraso Red
Razor: Gillette Tech Ball End (Coronation Set 1953)
Blade: Personna Super Med Prep (#1)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger
Cream: L'Occitane Cade
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: Nivea Replenishing Balm

After yesterdays fine shave with the Merkur 45C I thought I would dig out my other super light razor, the Gillette Tech Ball End. Glad I did fantastic result, have to say though, if I had to choose between the 45C and the Tech I might just go with the 45C. I suspect that the 45C would not outlast the Tech, and this Tech cost less than a fiver off eBay so the Tech is better value. All of which is slightly irrelevant as I will keep both of them and will use both of them again.

This was my first try of the Med Prep blade and so far it seems the same as the Lab Blue blade that I was using before, sharp and smooth.

Lovely Tech @Bizzyberry . You can't go wrong with them, imo.
