Well I was blown away when I was offered this razor to test because it has been a razor I have been lusting after for so long and they are like hens teeth on the second hand market and rarely come up for sale.
Last week on one of his SOTD postings @culcreuch said this razor had given him his best shave ever! Well I thought, blimey that's some statement to make, is it that good ?
Well today I can say yes it's that good! Wow what a shave, I know this is only my first use but I think I'm going to have to say it's one of the best shaves I've ever had.
It was smooth in use and in no time at all I was left with a proper BB smooth skin with not the slightest bit of irritation and from a razor that looks Uber cool. Proper pleased with this mornings shave, and my Valobra lather was warm throughout because of my wonderful scuttle from Giles Shaving Co so I'm one happy Blademonkey this morning!
I'm going to be using different blades in this razor to see what for me performs the best but the Proline blade I used today is going to take some beating! I did not really need to use the BBA Post Shave Blam but I like it so on it went and then a body spray of Club de nuit.

Really pleased that the razor delivered and proved to me that I wasn't hallucinating! The form factor of the head really helps the shaving experience....I have sometimes described the Cobra as a BIC Metal on Steroids:D

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men~ Active Clean Shower Gel .

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Wilkinsons Fruits~ Rhubarb & Vanilla Body Butter.

Brush: Omega 10077.

Bowl Lather.

Soap : Palmolive 'Classic' Shave Stick .(disk)

Blade: Rapira Super Stainless. (1)

Razor: Ming Shi 2000S .(settings): 2,Wtg. 2.5,Xtg. 3,Atg + pick ups.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Post:

Alum Block./Lemon+Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture. /Blue Stratos ~ A/S .

Arko ~ 'Fresh' A/S Balm .

Greetings,

Another effortless performance from the Ming Shi 2000S ,resulting in a wonderful 3 pass + pick up's shave, with no errors to report yet again . It paired up excellently with the Rapira Super Steel blade.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Blue Stratos..Wonderful stuff!.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

I've not posted for a couple of weeks as "real life" has recently taken over.
I had to say goodbye to my closest and loyal friend, Basher, my Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
He had an ongoing stomach problem that we were managing with medication for around eighteen months.
On the night of August 24th the poor boy took a turn for the worse. We took him to the vets the following day and the news wasn't good. We had to make the decision to let him go.
The void that is left in my life is enormous, and impossible to put in to words.
I need to try to get back to some normal semblance of life, so I've decided to start posting again.
