Rockwell 6C (#5)

Wholly Kaw, King of Oud
Midas Synth

A very quick one over lunch-time for me, giving the Wholly Kaw its first run. I would have liked to have more time, but unfortunately a hectic schedule didn't allow for it. Quickly whipped up a sublime, thick, creamy lather and slapped it on my face. Got to work with the 6C which is delivering me far better shaves than a 6S I borrowed previously. No issues whatsoever to report in two-and-a-bit passes, leaving me DFS on my neck, and BBS around my beard. I previously reported having a familiarity of the Wholly Kaw scent to Rob (@Blackmass) upon receipt of the soap, but couldn't place it. Today, it hit me! I have an attar of Mukhallat Emirates, a rose-oud concoction giving the very same heady, woody, floral vibe. I had a quick whiff from my little roll-on bottle and I can confirm there is not much difference between the two! In fact, they'd almost certainly go hand-in-hand. No balms/aftershaves required, as I'm feeling smooth and irritation free.

Who's next?

Great to read you got on with the soap. :)

Really seem to have come to grips with the modern AC/SE Razors, especially the Heavy weights. The Key is to utilise the weight and avoid using pressure. I always tackle my cheeks to start, and well lathered just rest the Razor on the surface, and the weight of the Razor scythes through the whiskers.
In more awkward areas if one employs a light touch, the Razor really can be with precision to eradicate stubborn growth.

I now can easily get a super close Shave without mishap or any hint of post Shave problems. The key is taking care to avoid putting undue pressure whilst shaving.

Blade: Gem #3
Razor: Gem MMOC
Brush: Rozorock 400 Aluminium Synthetic
Soap: Saponifcio Varesino 70th Anniversary
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
EDT: Izzey Myake

Well that was a wonderful experience. :)

My first time with the S.V 70th soap and it was so much worth the wait. I personally prefer it to the "Cozmo" due to the increase in the scent profile.
The cushion is mind blowing as is the slickness and post shave feel.

I loaded far too much on the Razorock but I could not resist using it up with silky smooth brush techniques.

I went for a four pass shave WTG, XTG, AGT and Finally XTG in reverse.

The Gem performed its magic yet again with an Irritation free, cut free, sublime BBS Shave.

No need for balm, the soap took care of that and finished with a generous helping of Izzey Myake.

Enjoy your shaves. :)

Pre: Warm water face wash

With >30 hrs growth I was going to use the R41 but something @mpf9ret had said roused my curiosity and I stuck a injector blade in the MMOC and set about my shave. Very smooth and very effective. I will be repeating this, cheers Mike.
Although a fan of Tabac soap for quite some time, I've never tried the after-shave as I thought it would be too full-blown. After reading what @Digimonkey had to say, I bought a small bottle to test the waters. It's more subtle than I expected and I'm now wishing I'd bought a larger bottle. Cheers Iain, good call.

Soap: Wolfpac Silk Road
Razor: Parker 76R
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword (1)
Brush: IC Shaving Brushes Carnival 1
Post: Hot & Cold Water Rinse

Star of the show in this shave was the Wolfpac shaving soap. Great performing soap and a beautifully balanced scent. The Parker 76R is a great razor and was a joy to use paired with the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Birch Sap Face Wash and Proraso white
Razor: iKon 101 + bamboo handle
Blade: Treet Classic (#1)
Brush: Hans Baier Silver Tip
Soap: Valobra Menthol
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: American Crew Revitalizing Toner

Today's shave was excellent, I find the iKon 101 to be quite mild and it can be fussy about which blades are used, the Treet Classic is one that works for me in the 101. In fact it works superbly, sharp and smooth, in the 101 it made for an effortless shave with a super smooth finish. I may buy some more of these
